Spouse: Elizabeth Davis, September 29, 1650, in Braintree, Norfolk Co, Mass. She was the daughter of the Widow Davis, who married Charles Grice. Charles Grice referred to William Owen as his son-in-law in his 1661 will. Elizabeth is likely that one year old child referred to by Savage as being on the ship "Elizabeth" in 1635 with her mother, the widow Margery Davis. See the Davis Home Page. (See Torrey and Ancestors of American Presidents, Fillmore tfel). Using this set of facts, she would have been 16 when she married. Torrey reports she died in 1702, which using 1634 as her date of birth would make her 66 years old. Torrey reports both she and her husband died in the same year.
