Henry Baldwin of Woburn

The first documentation of Henry Baldwin in the colonies is with his name appearing on the signers of the original papers forming Woburn, Mass in 1640. He married the oldest daughter of Ezekiel Richardson, who was among the earliest births in America. She was baptized on June 3, 1632.

Candee Baldwin, in the Baldwin Genealogy dtd 1880, gives a couple of theories on the English origins of Henry Baldwin of Woburn. He does not reach a conclusion about his origins, even though Candee had done considerable research into the English Baldwins. He did think it likely that John Baldwin of Billerica and Henry of Woburn were brothers.
