Northamptonshire is the ancient home of the Henry Spencer and Isabella
(Lincoln) Spencer, the alleged progenitors of the Spencer lines leading
to Princess Diana, Winston Churchill, four American presidents and the
American immigrants: the Spencer brothers, Ann (Marbury) Hutchinson, and
Nicholas Spencer of Virginia.
It is also the ancient home of Lawrence Washington, ancestor of George
Washington.
