Hallock Genealogy / History Pages on the Web |
Here is an attempt to put the whole of the Hallock genealogy, 50,000 names, on the internet.
Here is a neat biography of a pioneering Hallock family: Runion Compton and Isabella Hallock, and the story of their early days pioneering into Michigan in the late 1800's. Runion Hallock is of the eighth generation of the William branch of the Peter Hallock genealogy and is on Page 562 of the 1926 Hallock Genealogy.
The Joyce Weaver Page (Peter > William > John)
The Larry and Kathy McGurdy web page is a Peter Hallock site.
Personal Pages (no genealogy):
The Hallockville
/ Farm Page. The Hallockville Farm, historic site of a Hallock
homestead in Long Island, New York, is on the National Register of Historic
Places. See pictures and the address here. A Hallock descendant has informed
me this is the homestead of David Halsey Hallock, b 1838. Not sure if there
was any family history to it prior to that.

Geography - This page describes Riverhead and its towns: Upper Aquebogue, Old Aquebogue, Franklinville, Jamesport, Northville and other locations often referred to in the Hallock Genealogy as home to many Hallock descendants (Riverhead is a "town" in New York terminology. It is equivalent to what we mid-westerners think of as more of a township.)
