Immigration: By 1639, the first inventory of estates in Watertown, where he had "An Homstall of one acre." It is likely that he migrated single. (First child not born till about 1643.)
Occupation: Weaver, left his "loom and its appurtenances" to his son William.
Residences: Apparently lived all of his life in the New World in Watertown.
Spouse: Susannah, last name unknown. Likely married in Watertown, so Susannah may be an immigrant in her own right, or the daughter of another immigrant. It is possible they married in England and came to America, but since he was in Watertown in 1639 and first child estimated to have been born 1643, it is more likely they married here. She survived William and married, second, Richard Norcross, November. 18, 1673 in Watertown, Mass, when she was likely about 50. She died 13 years later, on December 11, 1686, in Watertown, Mass, probable age about 61.
Death: August 14, 1672, in Watertown, Mass, age approximately 52.
Will / Estate: Dated Aug.
3 and proved Aug. 29, 1672. Mentioned his sons Samuel Church,
Phillip Shattuck, William Shattuck, four small children, two younger
sons Benjamin and Samuel, son John, and wife Susanna.

Memorial of the Descendants of William Shattuck,..., by Lemuel Shattuck, Boston, 1855. LDS FHC film # 892,210 item 6.
Earlier genealogies speculated that Samuel Shattuck, and his mother Damaris, of Salem, were relatives of William, possible brother and mother. As near as I've been able to tell there is no evidence linking them and that relationship is generally "not accepted" today.
There was a Samuel Shattuck, apparently from Boston, who went to
England to complain to the King about the Puritans hanging of Quakers.
He apparently had results, as the King/his representative, wrote a letter
to the governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony to stop hanging Quakers, saying
essentially "We don't hang Quakers in England.". (William Shattuck of Watertown
appears to have been a Puritan.). See more about this Samuel
Shattuck in the Southwick story. I don't know if this Samuel is the
same Samuel referred to as the son of Damaris or not.
No evidence of relationship to William Shattuck of Boston
There was supposed to be a William Shattuck in Boston. I don't anything about him.
