Immigrated: Born in 1640-1645, he is likely the son of an immigrant; unkown to me, before 1645; although he could have migrated by himself after that date.
Residence: Salem, Mass per Torrey.
Spouse: Hannah Burton (Torrey), married Mar 17, 1673, Salem, Mass. She was born abt 1642, in Salem, Mass. (The History of Salem reports she died in 1735, aged 93 = 1642.) See the Burton section for more on her family. She outlived her husband by about five years. His wife made an affidavit on Mar 21, 1721, in which she calls herself 81 years old. Died: Aft 1727, per History of Salem. Aged about 85.
Will / Estate: Will, proved 1729, 2, 5. "Exs., sons William, Samuel and John. Witnesses, Joseph Southwick, Jonathan Trask and George Locker. To wife, 1/3 part of produce of all my lands, both for hay and corn, to be brought home to her by my three sons, Samuel, John and William, and they to supply her in firewood and other necessary things both in sickness and health. To her also 1/2 my dwelling house, and part of one of the barns to put her hay in. To son Samuel, the house and land where he now lives and other lands. To son William, land and housing. To son John, my dwelling house, barn and land adjoining, and orchard between the house and barn, all after wife's decease. To three sons, 40 acre lot in the woods, equally between them. life; his inv. of 29 Apr. 1662 shows over L1000; well for that time.
His wid. m. John Mulford of South Hampton, Yorksh. E. Riding, and in 1670
sold to Rev. Antipas Newman of Wenham, that 10 acres granted to. O.
