Bury St. Edmunds - (Goodrich)

Bury St. Edmunds is a medieval market town situated in West Suffolk, England with a population of around 33,000 and is 15 miles from the horse racing town of Newmarket and 27 miles from the University City of Cambridge. Bury St. Edmunds derives its name from the fact that Edmund, King of the East Angles, was killed in battle in 869 A.D. is buried there. Bury St. Edmunds was the home of Abbey Gate and Gardens, the ruins of which are now a tourist attraction.
