Some Ancestral Lines
In Common with Descendants of Henry Gilbert Baldwin, Kansas Pioneer

We Kansas Pioneers descendants share NINE American immigrant ancestors with the FIRST President Bush and are cousins through two other lines. Of course, we also share these lines with the SECOND President Bush, as well.

We are also cousins to the SECOND President Bush by additional New England ancestry from his mother's side. These include at least a line from Henry Baldwin of Woburn and two additional Richardson lines, and maybe some other lines of descent from other New England ancestors we have in common that I haven't found yet. The "common" or "gateway" ancestors of George Bush (1) and our Kansas Pioneers ancestors are:

Hannah French and John Child - Common immigrants: Barron, Child, French, Lathrop, Warren, and Learned

Mary Gates and John Maynard - Common immigrants: Gates, Maynard

Samuel? and Elizabeth (Letherhead) Cutter - Common immigrant, "Widow" Elizabeth (__) Cutter

We also share two lines of descent with President Bush (1) that reach back into Europe before immigration: Richardson and Morse, and possibly a third, through Spencer.

Our immigrant Ezekiel Richardson was brother to immigrant Thomas Richardson, Bush ancestor.

Our immigrant, Joseph Morse, was a cousin of Samuel Morse, Bush ancestor.

Bush is also a descendant of the English line of Spencers we might be related to, through our immigrants, the Spencer siblings.
